As if it makes up for all but disappearing for the last year, we're coming back strong. Following on the heels of our first single release, we're announcing the release of our second single Light and Skin / Go Away for release on April 23rd. It's All Lore / Silent WaveMarch 31st, 2013

Well, it's been a long and busy year since we entered the studio to record Uwue. Now, we finally have something to show for it. For starters, we're releasing a single on 7'' vinyl and cassette. It's All Lore / Silent Wave will be available Tuesday from this Web Site, the Tree Cover Records web site and bandcamp as well as ITunes and other digital distribution outlets beginning this Tuesday, April 2nd. Keep your ear to the ground by following Tree Cover Records and Uwue on Fbook.

On HiatusMarch 26th, 2012

We're taking a break from live shows to record our forthcoming LP with Josh Dean of murderboats recording. No details yet but expect a single or two before the record is released. All news will be posted here and on Fbook as it happens. See you in a few months, records in hand.

1.13.2012 @ The Midtown ScholarJanuary 4th, 2012

At long last, Uwue is coming to the midtown scholar, the great local book store and part-time venue. This is right down the street from our original practice space on Verbeke Street (now the Orange Room). The show is free, the bookstore is vast, there's drinks and food, and these seeds and night will be joining us from York to play sets. This should be one of our better ones. Music starts around 7:30pm.

And yes, there's a flier. Hope to see you there.

11.18.2011 @ The Orange RoomNovember 6th, 2011

Happy to announce that we're playing another 3rd Friday show this month at the orange room, this time with three other local acts you won't want to miss: aunt jasmine, these seeds, and posiedon's trident. Music will start promptly at 7PM and be wrapping up around 10PM. If you can, try to make it for the whole event as it's going to be a great cross section of interesting local sounds. And as always, no cover.

fliers will be up in Midtown this week. Hope to see you there.

Additionally, new photos have been added to the memories page.

9.22.2011 @ The Stage On Herr (HMAC)September 22nd, 2011

We just last-minute-booked a show at the hmac on 3rd St. in Harrisburg. Unfortunately, it's a 21+ show but for those that can make it it's a great venue (and just down the block from us on 3rd St). We play at 9pm followed by les racquet and the thrives. Hope to see you there.

Live RecordingsSeptember 18th, 2011

Thanks to everyone who came out to see us last Friday. For those who didn't make it we have recordings of a few of the songs available for listening, downloading, and sharing right here (see links below) and on our brand spanking new Bandcamp and SoundCloud pages. Links to these pages (and our FB page) are now featured at the top of this very page. Connect to our FB (if that's your thing) and you'll be notified there of any future happenings in the Uwue universe. Our next show will be Friday, October 7th at the championship in Lemoyne (kind of an obligatory rite of passage for any central PA band). Tickets are $8 (their price not ours) and will be available along with T-shirts on our store page (coming soon).

EDIT: These live recordings have been taken down because, let's face it, they sucked and were really just obligatory even at the time.
9.16.2011 @ Second City Church HburgAugust 27th, 2011

Like we promised, there is now something of consequence to be learned from this Web site. We will be playing our first show in the Orange Room (a name we made up for the autidorium next to where we practice at Second City Church in Hburg) on September 16th as part of the 3rd Friday events and festivities. There'll be plenty to do around Mtown between whatever the Scholar and HMAC have brewing so come down and check us out for awhile if you feel like it. We'll be playing our set around 8pm and again at 930pm with some light improvosational noise of some sort filling the gap between sets. (The 930pm set has been cancelled. We will be playing only one set with everything starting at 8pm.)

You may have seen a flier up around town and decided to see what the Uwue thing is. Well, this show is where you'll find out. We'd put up a demo, but isn't that just kind of lame? Come out and see for youself in the lovely Hburg evening on September 16th. There's car parking behind the church, bike racks in front, and signs will be posted at the open door on Verbeke. Hope to see some unfamiliar faces.

If you're at this Web site at this point you've probably been directed by a booking inquiry. If not, know that there is no music available on this site. There is no merchandise either. In fact, there aren't even any show dates, just an overdramatic (if sincere) description of Uwue and a few email addresses. At some point in the future there will be all these things. Check in occasionally as all news and show dates will be posted here. We love music, we love this place and we want to change the way the two are viewed, especially in relation to each other.
